How do I confirm an email or SMS template works?

If you think an email template might not be working, you can check to confirm this yourself in most cases:

Emails to candidates

  • Click the Email candidate icon for a direct or internal candidate on the Candidates list page in the Backoffice
  • Pick the template you want to check
  • Click the preview button
  • If there are any problems, such as incorrect merge fields, the preview will show this

Emails to agents about candidates

  • Click the Email candidate icon for an agency candidate on the Candidates list page in the Backoffice
  • Pick the template you want to check
  • Click the preview button
  • If there are any problems, such as incorrect merge fields, the preview will show this

Emails to users about candidates

  • Select a candidate and choose the Forward by email option in the Bulk action list on the Candidates list page in the Backoffice
  • Pick the template you want to check
  • Click the preview button
  • If there are any problems, such as incorrect merge fields, the preview will show this

Emails to agents about vacancies

  • Click the Email agent icon for an agent who has already been invited to a vacancy from the Vacancies > Send to agencies page
  • Pick the template you want to check
  • Click the preview button
  • If there are any problems, such as incorrect merge fields, the preview will show this

Emails to users about requisitions

  • It is not currently possible to preview requisition emails, but Advorto Support may assist you with this if you want to check a requisition email

SMS to candidates or to agents about a candidate

  • Select a candidate of the relevant type and choose the SMS option in the Bulk action list on the Candidates list page in the Backoffice
  • Pick the template you want to check
  • Click the preview button
  • If there are any problems, such as incorrect merge fields, the preview will show this
